Pro arte conservation

Pro Arte Conservation specialises in the conservation and restoration of fine furniture and wooden objects, with a focus on preserving original materials and historical integrity. Each project is approached through a conservation-led philosophy grounded in minimal intervention, reversibility, and respect for original craftsmanship.The practice is led by Ivo Kipre, a trained furniture conservator with extensive international experience. He joined the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, as Associate Conservator for the British Galleries renovation project, contributing to the research and conservation of the Cassiobury House staircase, as well as the treatment of historic oak floors and British furniture within the Museum’s period rooms.Ivo holds an MA in Furniture Conservation, Restoration and Decorative Arts from Buckinghamshire New University, The National School of Furniture (UK). He has also worked with leading private conservation studios, including Arlington Conservation Ltd in London and Period Furniture Conservation in New York. He previously earned a BA in Restoration and Conservation of Wooden Artefacts from the University of Dubrovnik, Croatia, with additional training at Palazzo Spinelli, Institute for Art and Restoration, Florence.
